At the heart of bx_pulsar are five carefully configured Delay Modes. These span the history of delay types and tones, from early tape and increasingly grimy analog hardware classics, through clean and beautifully diffuse modern digital styles, all the way to crystalline granular textures and otherworldly reverse effects:

Air – Transparent digital delay with the option for beautiful diffusion and modulation
Magnetic – Tape-style delays with sub-modes: Reel, Space, Cassette, Dusty
Circuit – Inspired by classic BBD delays with sub-modes: Studio, Vintage, Pedal, Modded
Aether – Experimental textures with pitch shifting and grain processing
Reverse – Reversed signal with subtle compression for smoothing transients

Unlike multitap delays that require complex setup, the innovative Sequencer section in bx_pulsar gets you to a great result fast—whether you’re shaping space around a vocal, building rhythmic FX, or creating analog-style feedback loops. With per-step panning across up to eight sequencer steps, plus one-shot and looping playback modes, transform static sounds into rippling rhythmic structures and fashion completely unique delay patterns from scratch.

Delay features that echo your musicality
Dual Mode provides Ping Pong and Criss Cross stereo routing options, with controls for custom time ratios and presets for instant polyrhythmic and psuedo-random repeat patterns. Add further powerful tools like test tone previewing, swing control, the capability for real-time parameter modulation, and the ambience-making Freeze button, and bx_pulsar is more than a delay—it’s a playable creative instrument.
