Systematic Study of Performance Techniques: Distinguishing itself from traditional orchestration tutorials, this course provides not only an in-depth analysis of performance techniques but also demonstrations from a creator’s perspective, offering users an intuitive audio experience. It is divided into five instrumental chapters, helping users understand the sound and timbre of Chinese instruments, familiarize themselves with traditional Chinese musical expressions, and master the performance techniques of traditional Chinese instruments.

Innovative Guidance with Composition Examples: By utilizing 1 to 2 musical themes, the course allows users to clearly perceive how the same theme produces distinct acoustic effects and musical atmospheres when played with different techniques.

Produced by a Professional Creative Team: The course is designed to accompany Applied Composition—a textbook used in the premium course of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and the ideological and political pilot course at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. The video course is produced by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission’s innovation team and features meticulous performances by young traditional instrumentalists such as Tang Xiaofeng, Xing Liyuan, and Deng Yiqun.

Course Content Presentation: Integrating “images, text, audio, video, and scores” into a five-in-one format, the course offers a multi-dimensional demonstration of performance techniques, including single notes, intervals/chords, ornaments, and harmonics. This creates an immersive experience akin to a live classroom for traditional Chinese instrumental composition, enabling users to accurately utilize traditional Chinese instruments in their compositions and infuse their works with a richer ethnic charm.
